The R-6 ground marker is designed for installation in compact soil. The anchoring base is screwed to a 50 cm ( 20 in. ) long steel rod securing the base in place. Installation is performed with a rotary hammer tool ( Bosch or Hilti ) using SDS max tool accessories including: a 40 cm ( 16 in. ) drilling auger bit, a ground rod driver ( HS2172 Bosch ) and a 16mm ( 5/8 in. ) dia. steel rod 30cm ( 12 inches ) long. Also needed is a circular bubble level ( available in hardware stores ).
